OVERVIEW
In today’s ruthlessly competitive world, children are being made to undergo great stress to achieve the best marks in examinations. This pressure has led to students being forced to spend many hours learning their subjects by heart. Eminent teachers from across the globe have expressed their apprehensions with the present system which they feel deprives the child from enjoying the process of learning.
The planned curriculum is based on the IB and ICSE, to provide a sound grounding in the basic subjects. An enquiry child centred approach is adopted in teaching and learning to ensure that all students learn to take responsibility for their own learning, learn how to learn and think, in preparation for future education and life. Physical Education, music and foreign language is high profile at our school. We wish to create a multi-cultural environment and value diversity. A particular emphasis is placed on the individual with small classes which enables teachers to know each child and their special needs, and cater for their differences.
We have an Educational Support Programme to cater for children with special needs and those with English as an Additional Language. We place high priority on enabling children to be confident, well mannered, socially caring and personally aware.
